Privacy Policy

Effective September 10, 2026

LayerForge Design LLC respects the privacy of customers and website visitors. This policy explains what information may be collected, why it is used, and the third-party services involved in providing LayerForge services.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, LayerForge may collect information you choose to provide, including:

How information is used

LayerForge uses submitted information to provide consultations, troubleshoot technical problems, prepare manufacturing quotes, communicate with customers, process payments and refunds, prevent abuse, maintain business records, understand broad visitor geography and traffic sources, and improve site reliability.

AI-assisted analysis

Some paid consultation requests, follow-up questions, and supporting files may be processed using OpenAI services to help generate technical analysis and responses. Information sent for this purpose is limited to what is reasonably needed to provide the requested service. LayerForge configures these requests so application responses are not stored by the OpenAI API where supported.

Service providers

LayerForge relies on third-party providers to operate the service. These may include:

Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

Cookies and session data

The site uses limited cookies or similar browser data for functions such as session security, administrative authentication, CSRF protection, and anonymous website analytics. The analytics cookie helps distinguish repeat browsers so LayerForge can understand page journeys, broad visitor location, traffic source, and whether visitors submit a request. LayerForge does not use the site to sell personal information to advertisers.

Data retention

LayerForge keeps consultation, quote, payment, refund, uploaded-file, and coarse website-analytics records for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain business records, understand site performance, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Records may be deleted sooner when they are no longer needed.

Data security

LayerForge uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS, restricted administrative access, signed payment webhooks, anti-bot controls, and private storage for customer uploads. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask LayerForge to correct or delete personal information that is no longer needed, subject to legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or contractual recordkeeping requirements. Use the Contact Us option on the LayerForge website and identify the request as a privacy request.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as LayerForge services or service providers change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
